New Holiday! (Creative Writing Assignment)

"Hey! Have you heard of the new holiday called Anthropomorphic Day?" I heard a voice call out. "Yes I have! It's... interesting to say the least." This holiday was about the Anthropomorphic Animals and learning about their culture. I know one example is Star Fox, Fox McCloud is a Fox but he has human like qualities. He can talk and stand up on his legs. I didn't want to go to the festivals or conventions being held around the country.

"Do you want to go to the convention?" My friend asked me but I already made up my mind. "No. I'm not celebrating the holiday." I said, not wanting to go. "B-But you have to!" I stared at him like he's crazy and I laughed. "Where does it say that I HAVE to go?" I started to walk away until he shouted out. "Look at this?" I turned back, annoyed and started to walk back to him.

"I swear... If its related to the holiday... I'm going to just lose my mind." I said growling under my breath. He points to a statement that I was afraid of. "It says every US citizen HAS to participate. Regardless if they don't want to or not." Why would the government do this? I mean COME ON! This is a stupid and dumb holiday to celebrate. "Ugh... Fine... Since I have to follow the law."

I was instantly grabbed by the hand and dragged to the convention. "S-STOP! WHY ARE WE RUSHING?!" My friend was really excited about this. "If we get there early, we get the best spots to all the events inside the convention!" He yelled and we got in line and then he dropped me to the ground forcefully. "You didn't have to forcefully drop me..." I said annoyed, obviously hurt by the sudden and unneeded drop.
